That the pharmaceutical industry has involvement in the anti-smoking world is no secret or conspiracy. I wouldn’t say they’re directly manipulating figures, but they are giving money to anti-smoking studies (that isn’t any study that finds anti-smoking results, but studies that set out to prove harm), anti-smoking groups, and funding anti-smoking conferences. I had to dedicate a whole chapter to Big Pharma’s involvement in it all in my book.
